There are a few flaws in SSOC vol 1, and that pisses me off.

But, I already bought volume 2.

I don't buy very many new comics anymore, but Garth Ennis' Punisher is one of them.Jessehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16365919257468022680noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5723077228948447528.post-65580973876733938682008-06-04T21:05:00.000-04:002008-06-04T21:05:00.000-04:00Hi Badelaire, yes, Savage Sword was oversized, lik...Hi Badelaire, yes, Savage Sword was oversized, like a magazine instead of a comic book. I pulled out and read a couple issues before writing this post, and not surprisingly they hold up very well.Brian Murphyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05563309422791320114noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5723077228948447528.post-87331133043749998022008-06-04T16:04:00.000-04:002008-06-04T16:04:00.000-04:00I've got a small mountain of SSOC sitting in a box...I've got a small mountain of SSOC sitting in a box somewhere. If I remember right those were the oversized comics, and some of the stories and art were mind-blowing. For at least 17 years or so, Conan and Punisher comics are the only two that I've consistently kept collecting. It's too bad all the great extras aren't in there, but are they worth purchasing for the main stories, and is the reproduction quality good? I've been debating buying these for a few months now to fill in some gaps in my collection.

By the way Jim, I've become a regular visitor to your blog--nice job!Brian Murphyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05563309422791320114noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5723077228948447528.post-39405765061812888422008-05-31T17:43:00.000-04:002008-05-31T17:43:00.000-04:00I grew up on SSOC. I'm just about to finish up Dark Horse's volume 1 reprinting of SSOC volume 1. I miss the extras found in the back pages of every issue.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
