Stonehenge, Spinal Tap

Fuck... 2025 has been brutal. Rob Reiner deserved a much longer life. Horrible, tragic.

In honor of the man who brought us the finest rockumentary ever made, ladies and gentlemen, I present on this Metal Friday "Stonehenge." The ultimate heavy metal lampoon. Dwarves trampling what should be massive 18' stones (not 18") will never not be funny.

I do recommend A Fine Line Between Stupid and Clever. I'm particularly happy I have a copy with Reiner's signature, a little piece of a man who brought me so much joy with his celluloid visions.

RIP brother.

Confession time, I've never seen This is Spinal Tap. Still, I was shocked to hear the news about Rob Reiner. I most associate him with The Princess Bride, another great film

The Princess Bride is one of those rare perfect films that I would not change one scene (Jaws is another). I do strongly recommend Spinal Tap, if you like heavy metal music at all it lands.

Oh, this is awful. Poor Rob and his wife.

This has been a terrible year for US cinema legends passing. David Lynch, Gene Hackman, Robert Redford, Diane Keaton, Diane Lane, Val Kilmer, Michael Madsen, and now Rob Reiner.

I'd second the recommendation of "This Is Spinal Tap". It is a very funny film, and although it's about heavy metal music some of the gags would apply to any music band that went touring. My father used to play in a touring country music band and he laughed at several moments of the film. He then told me "Our drummer went missing too!"
