Great issue. Love the Sea Witch connection, sounds like it was complete serendipity that you were able to connect the dots that way. I am absolutely convinced the pinball artist was influenced by the comic. Think about it, back then we didn't have the absolute deluge of resources that we have today - people interested a certain topic would thirst for it to the point they would absolutely land on comics (as well as heavy metal magazine, the pulps etc) for their fix and inspiration.

Hey Brian - related topic, back in your youth did you ever read any of the other comic titles inspired by CtB? I'm thinking of Kull and Red Sonja of course on the Marvel side, but DC had some really neat titles like Arak Son of Thunder, The Warlord, and Arion.

Thanks man! Still feeling my way out with the NL, appreciate the kind words. Sometimes you just have to say, yeah, I know there's no documented proof, but two lookalike Sea Witches in such proximity? I'm going influence.

I did read some Arak and Warlord--not as religiously as SSOC or Captain America or Avengers, but I really enjoyed both. There is a Warlord compilation either out or due out that I've got my eye on. Fantastic book.
